While this is just a taste of what is to come, it is certainly a campaign that would have done well in the original game.
The first three missions of Star Wars Battlefront 2 will take players on a journey, sneaking their way through rebel ships, fighting against the rebels on Endor and flying through the wrecked death star in a highly modified TIE fighter. Not sure of exactly how it is to be carried out, Versio is chastised for his lack of faith in the Empire’s end game strategy. Well, he is back with a pre-recorded message informing Versio to implement what is termed Operation Cinder.įrom what we can tell, Operation Cinder is a devious plan by the Empire to destabilise the new republic. You may remember that Emperor Palpatine was tossed down a reactor chute by Darth Vader. This is where the original Star Wars character makes a surprising reappearance. The good news is that the Empire has a game plan lined up already. So, while the rebels are celebrating the destruction of the Empire, you and your stressed-out crew are desperately trying to find a way to escape Endor. Players in Battlefront 2 are put firmly in the shoes of Inferno Squad commander Iden Versio. What you will get, is the chance to experience it all from the Empire’s perspective. You won’t have any part in the epic showdown between Darth Vader and Luke Skywalker. In Battlefront 2, you are not part of Lano Calrissian’s team and you won’t be doing battle alongside the Ewoks on Endor. If you are one of those players who always want to be one of the good guys, then you might want to think twice about this one. This is the part just before the rebels are able to penetrate the Empire’s defences and destroy the Death Star.
The game kicks off somewhere towards the end of Episode VI: Return of the Jedi. However, not many people are aware that EA and DICE have made the decision to bring back an original Star Wars character back from the dead for a small cameo appearance, and this could make the game even more successful.īattle Front 2 takes players straight into the action, just like a CAD casino. Any self-respecting Star Wars enthusiast will have a keen idea of what to expect, story-wise, having watched the single and multiplayer trailer a few times just for good measure. The long-anticipated Star Wars Battlefront 2 game is packed to the brim with action, plot twists and more.
